WhatsApp, Google und Co. sind blockiert — vorher vorbereiten.
VPN & eSIM
Funktionieren u. a.: Astrill, Mullvad, LetsVPN (oft bis 5 Geräte). NordVPN und ExpressVPN oft nicht.
eSIMs wie Nomad oder Airalo geben unblockiertes Internet am Handy — dann oft kein VPN nötig. Sobald WLAN genutzt wird, bist du wieder im chinesischen Netz (blockiert).
Google Translate offline vorher einrichten.
WeChat ist Chat, Zahlung, QR-Codes und Alltag in einem. Setup für WeChat Pay:examinechina.com. Alternative: Alipay (oft einfacher, extra App). Kreditkarte hinterlegen — kein Prepaid. Internet für Zahlungen nötig.
